This semester is definitely A LOT different than past semesters! But in a good way. I'm enjoying it so far. My first week back to the BBA went well; one of our newest clients is a travel company that puts together group trips for all over the world, and I've been assigned to the project. I keep telling my boss that I can't market something if I don't know what it is, so I should just go on one of the trips (preferably one with the most sunshine, of course). I've also been assigned to plan the next two quarterly Advisory Panel meetings, which will be a great opportunity. We have Indianapolis business executives from several different companies in the area on our Board, so it's going to be great for me to work with them.
I'm only taking three classes (ohhh the fabulous life of a Senior), and I'm enjoying all of them so far -- Senior Seminar for Communications, Consulting, and Administrative Policy (a Senior College of Business course). It's cool to be in a consulting course since the BBA is a consulting company...I'm looking forward to being able to take what I learn in the classroom back to work.
Tuesdays are going to be the longest day of my life -- I work 8-6, have class 6-8:30, and then have an exec meeting for Spring Sports Spectacular from 8:30-9:30. I finally get dinner around 10ish. Spring Sports, or SSS as it's more commonly known on campus, is an annual event at Butler that raises money for the Special Olympics. It's a competition between all of the housing units that starts at 7 p.m. on a Saturday and goes straight through to 7 a.m. on Sunday. There are traditional sports like volleyball, soccer, basketball, and whiffle ball, but then we also do a ton of events like an Oreo Stacking Contest, Twister, DDR, Guitar Hero, jousting, and checkers. There's a theme every year, and we finalized this year's theme tonight....but it's still Top Secret, so get excited for when I can reveal it to you!!!!!
