So... what now??
Grades came out yesterday and it looks like I survived my semester of chaos with a 4.0! I am happy that all my late nights and hours at the library paid off, because it was definitely my toughest semester yet. Two really reading intensive classes on the same days of the week meant lots of time hitting the books, and I felt like I was constantly writing papers. However, next semester should be a little easier since my upper-level lit class is about poetry and not five super-long Jane Austen novels!
Want to know how crazy my life was during finals? My stress is usually directly proportional to the mess in my room.

My roommate and I in front of our snow-covered house the day of "Blizzard 2007".

I am so relieved that I got all that done and finally got out of Indy. We had a lot of snow come through last weekend, so I ended up staying an extra day at my cousin's house to avoid driving in the bad weather. My friends and I didn't really mind getting snowed in on Saturday, though, because pretty much everyone that was still in Indy last weekend was there for the Wooden Tradition men's basketball game at Conseco.Fieldhouse (where the Pacers play downtown). I got to go for free because I was playing with Basketball Band, so that was tons of fun! Conseco is a sweet venue AND we beat Florida State. My favorite part of the game though had to be this video they had about the Wooden Tradition tournament. It started off with this quote:
In 49 other states, it's just basketball...
but this is Indiana.
ha! so true.
Conseco: "It's our second favorite fieldhouse in Indianapolis" - coach Brad Stevens. (oh, and don't worry - the empty seats were from sad Louisville fans who went home after their team lost in the previous game.)

I also played at the women's game on Sunday, where we took down Tennesee State. It's sad because the women are really good too, but they don't get as much support as the men's team. However, Basketball Band always tries to make it fun for them by being the crazy fans we are at every other game. It was funny because at the end of the game when we played our usual victory montage of the Butler War Song, Celebration, and I Want to Go Back to Butler, I realized that I have never played at a game where we lost! I don't even know what we would play in that scenario, but I guess that's a good problem to have.
Anyway, now I am home and my life is tragically boring. Most of my friends won't be home until this weekend, so I have been wasting my time away sleeping, facebooking and attempting to unpack. Yesterday I was actually productive and caught up on some work I needed to get done for my extracurricular groups at Butler, but that was only because I was motivated to get my work done so I could watch the men's team play Bradley last night. It wasn't on tv, but the Horizon League shows all the games for free online, so I got takeout from BDubs and ate my wings at home while watching the game on my laptop. Yes, I know. My life away from Butler is sad. Hey, at least we won! (and if you're interested, the Chicago Tribune had a nice article yesterday about how underated we are.)
Tomorrow I am going shopping in the city (Chicago) so maybe I will have something interesting to write about then! Until then I will be making dinner, cleaning my room and reading Harry Potter 6. Exciting times...
