Ok, not the whole country. But we DID beat the University of South Alabama in the first round of the NCAA here in Birmingham, Alabama! YES, they had the home court advantage but we still beat them by 20 points (Final Score: 81-61).
The game was so much fun. If you haven't been keeping up with my blog, I am here with the basketball band and LOVING it. Even though we don't have our usual number of fans (sadly, we could not bring the entire crowd of Hinkle regulars) the ones who are here are INTENSE! ha, it's also really sweet to see how into the game the alumni get. They may be old, but as Blue's dad Michael says, "dangit...they're still Bulldogs!"
