Kite and Anchor Semi-Formal!

After a very hectic week and a successful paper submission to SEPA (finally!), I was definitely ready to blow off some stress. Luckily, last friday was my sorority's semi-formal! Usually our events are limited to Thetas and their dates, but this semester we teamed-up with another sorority on campus, Delta Gamma, for the big dance. And oh, was it big... five buses were needed to cart around 300 people from Butler to the dance location! I don't know the exact name of the venue, but it was a beautiful banquet hall settled next to a lake in Broadripple. (Perks of a semi-formal for two sororities =  twice the budget!) A few of my good friends are DG's, so the conjoined dance was fun because I don't normally get the chance to have them there with me. Needless-to-day, the night was exactly what I needed after my painfully busy week... fortunately this week is only three days long and I get to go home on Wednesday for FALL BREAK!

My date and I before the dance!

One of my favorite DG's :)

Nothing to do!? It seems like that is NEVER the case, for me at least haha. I will say, joining a sorority has definitely filled up my schedule with all sorts of fun events... I think I've had only one weekend this year where there wasn't something planned. But even as a freshman I felt like there was always something going on for me to do! For instance - every weekend they show a movie in Jordan, there are planned events such as All Hall Fall Ball, Trick-or-Treating for kids, not to mention everything that goes along with homecoming week. You can always go off campus to Broadripple or downtown too if you want, which brings options like the mall, zoo, museums, restaurants... the list goes on and on!
