Elation
Thursday, August 28, 2008 10:24 PM
I'm finally back on campus after a summer that lasted entirely too long, and I honestly could not be happier! Being in the Theta house with my sisters is absolutely AMAZING. As much as I enjoyed living in Schwitzer last year, it really just cannot compare. I never realized how different it would be to actually live under one roof with all of my best friends...

Terrific Twenties
Friday, August 15, 2008 1:01 PM
Yes, you read that correctly... I am now officially twenty years old! It's weird how "twenty" sounds so much older than "nineteen," like they represent completely separate genres of time. But on Wednesday I bid goodbye to my teenage years and turned to face the adulthood coming my way. Do I feel much older now? Well yes, I believe so....

In my Red High Heels
Wednesday, August 06, 2008 5:31 PM
So apparently summer is sneaking by much faster than I had expected it to. Although I still have a few weeks until my return to Butler, one of my best friends from home, Lindsey, moved back to Indiana State today. She's involved in Sigma Kappa, one of the sororities at ISU, and had to move in early for recruitment practice. It's already weird with her...

Same old thing...

So I realize that I haven't blogged in a while, but to be honest, I really haven't had anything to blog about! I've been working so much lately that my off-days are usually spent laying around watching movies with friends... exciting... I know haha. This weekend did finally bring some change however. I miraculously had a random three-day break from...

Reunited!
Monday, June 09, 2008 11:51 AM
On the way back from Chicago, I got to stop in Crown Point to see my best friend from Butler, Jenni! Throughout the school year we lived about ten steps from eachother, so this summer has been torture being so far apart! We're the type of best friends that do everything together... we're practically the same person, haha, so being together again was amazing...

Adaptation

I've been back in New Pal for a little over a week now, and I'm finally starting to settle in. The suitcases and boxes that once crowded my floor are slowly but surely making their way out of my room. Yesterday I put new pictures in all of my frames and filled by bulletin board with memories from BU. Everywhere you look there's a poster, mug, blanket...

The things that go BUMP in the night...
Thursday, January 31, 2008 8:59 PM
Okay... let me just start off by saying that I'm a HUGE scaredy cat and I'm almost too embarrassed to share this story with you all..... haha so I hope you enjoy laughing at my little "incident" ! Picture this: It's about eleven o'clock at night and I'm just finishing up my homework in my dorm room. My roommate has gone to her friend's...

Ballet & Basketball
Tuesday, December 04, 2007 1:55 PM
Every year the Nutcracker is performed by the Butler Ballet. I've always loved musicals and theatre, so I was really looking forward to seeing this show. On Friday night, my friends and I went to see the ballet. Not only was it amazing, but it was especially fun because we got to pick out and watch some of our friends who are dance majors! On Saturday night...

Home Sweet Home

A week full of family, friends, and turkey can only mean one thing... Thanksgiving break! I know it's supposed to be a "break", but I feel as though I've been running non-stop! I'm either out and about with my friends from high school or hanging out with my family at home. Now don't get me wrong... I'm not complaining at all! It...

Costume Party
Monday, October 29, 2007 5:07 PM
As you all have probably realized by now, I am absolutely obsessed with the holiday of Halloween. Ever since handing out candy last weekend (see previous blog), I've been eager for a chance to dress up in a costume of my own! Luckily, this Saturday brought that very opportunity. One of my best friends from home, Laura, held a costume party in her apartment...

My trip to Franklin College
Monday, October 15, 2007 1:09 PM
I regret to report that Reading Break '07 has come to an end. Although I'm not sure I did much actual reading, it was great to have a chance to catch up with my family and friends back home. The majority of my time was spent relaxing at home, but I did make a trip up to Franklin College on Thursday evening. One of my best friends from high school, Alissa...

Classes!
Tuesday, August 28, 2007 9:40 PM
It has been about a week since classes started, and unbelievably, I’m loving every minute of school. Classes in college are so much different than they were in high school. They are intriguing and thought-provoking; I actually want to get up and go to class in the morning! On the other hand, time out of class has been fun as well. I love to hang out with the...
