Butler University

Hayy!

I'm a senior at Homestead High School in Sunnyvale, CA! I plan on applying to all out of state schools. As much as I love California, I feel the need to get out of here and see what else is out there! I visited numerous schools in the midwest during spring and Butler was one of my FAVORITES!

 I am from Farmington Hills, Michigan. About 20 minutes from Downtown Detroit. I'm a Junior at my high school preparing for all the tests that will be coming my way that can impact my college career.

 Fun Fact? I'll do it too I guess:

I was the only sophomore last year on the varsity baseball team. I started at 2nd base too. I have my own fundraiser where I've raised 15,000 dollars for Crohn's Disease research (www.michaelrubensteinfundraiser.com).

Hey Michael! Just saw your post and wanted to say hey to a fellow Michigan native. I am originally from Dearborn : ) (Also, your fundraiser sounds really cool! Congratulations on all your success!)

 Anyway, my "hometown" these days is Naperville, Illinois.  But I have also lived in Tokyo, consider Indy to be my second home now that I am at BU, and currently live in Madrid where I am studying abroad with a Butler program.  So I guess I'm complicated : )

I am from Cissna Park High School in Cissna Park, IL (lame right?) Anyway, my graduating class is 28, and about 24 of them will attend a community college: Parkland College in Champaign. We actually call it Cissna Park South.

 Hello. I am Christian Meyer. I hail from the wee ickle town of Washington, Indiana. I really am enjoying my senior year of high school. I am involved in the advanced choir Impulse at Washington HIgh School, where I sing tenor. I love theatre (no I'm not gay) and photography. I am also a member of the color guard in the marching band at WHS (again, I'm not gay). I enjoy long walks on the beach and watching sunsets. Ha, that was meant to be funny. I really want to be an actor either in cinema or theatre. Yep, I know that's really ambitious and it's really hard to be successful, but hey, life is a challenge and I think I'm ready to grab it by the horns and teach it to sit. That's about it I suppose. If anyone wants to discuss theatre or if you have tips for what I should do to put myself out there, just hit me up, ok? Ok.

I'm also a Senior from Fairland, IN.  I go to school with irish4luck, actually!  I have finished my online app, but I still need to write my essay.  I'm going to write it next week over fall break when things finally start to slow down for me.  I'm wanted a degree in Psychology.  I can't wait!
