    Halloween

So this is kinda a random post but I'm insanely excited for Halloween this year! My high school lets all the seniors wear costumes to school on Halloween so that's probably my favorite day of the whole year. And especially since I get to dress up this year! 3 of my friends and I are going as cute bumblebees and we're going to pass little bit of honey candies out all day! I love Halloween with the candy and dressing up as something you're not. So fun!Smile

Anyone else as excited as I am for Halloween? lol Any special plans like Halloween party? Does anyone else get to wear costumes to school? Or maybe just dress up for the fun of it?

I'm excited for Halloween too! Unfortunately clusters end on October 31st, and my parents are also arriving to visit me that day, so I probably won't be partaking in my favorite activities this year - making Jack-o-lanterns and roasting pumpkin seeds! I will be Trick-or-Treating in costume for canned goods with my fraternity though. Last year I was a tube of Crest toothpaste. It was a lot of fun, so I'm dressing like that again this year.

    Anyone else have cool costumes?

I don't get excited about Halloween, but I have a friend who goes NUTS! We can dress up for work though. (I work at McDonalds.)

I'm sooo excited!!  I was in Australia last year studying abroad and completely missed Halloween.  Did you know they don't celebrate Halloween over there?!  We tried to show them how, but it just wasn't the same...  So this year I'm going all out.  My roommates and I have decided to go as the "Village People".  I'm going to be the construction worker.  Not quite sure how I'm going to put that together yet, but I'll let you know!  Sigma Nu, a fraternity on campus always has one huge party for Halloween so I'm thinking I'm going to check that out this year!  Wahoo!!

I am PUMPED for halloween :) The Ballroom dance club that meets every tuesday night is having a costume party so I am going to be Audrey Hepburn for that. She is my favorite actress of all time! Then for the actual Halloween and for the parties I'm going to be Hannah Montana! Haha I already got the wig and everything. It should be a good time, I love halloween and I can't wait to carve pumpkins :) We are having a pumpkin carving party in our unit and then my roommate and I are taking the seeds to her sisters apartment to roast them! mmm. so good.

I don't get homesick very often here in Spain (I'm studyin abroad), but I think Halloween is one thing I will definitely miss!! Word on the street is that some of the clubs in Madrid celebrate, though, so I'll have to check it out... I don't know what to wear though! I definitely didn't pack a costume.  Anyone have ideas for something I can make cheaply in Spain??

Last year I was a 1920s flapper in honor of one of my favorite books (the Great Gatsby... haha, the English major nerd in me comes out again.) My freshman year, my roommate and I dressed up together as Addison and Meredith from Grey's Anatomy (it was SUPER popular that year), which was a a GREAT costume because 1) We bought scrubs at Walmart for $10... yes for being cheap college students, and 2) We went to the party at Sigma Nu (called VooDoo) which is so popular you have to wait in line to get in.  Some of our peers chose cosutmes that showed a little more skin lol, but we were nice and toasty in our scrubs! : )

I will definitely miss going to VooDoo! Sigma Nu goes all out decorating their yard and some of the house and it's a great dance party.  You also gotta love carving pumpkins, corn mazes and all the other fun times that fall in Indiana brings.  I miss it!

    Re: Halloween

I've never been a big Halloween fan.  I was at first really excited because it's a friday this year, but my school scheduled Seniors night that night, so I won't be able to party it up.  No candy.  Boo...(pun intended, sadly).

If there's a God, he's laughing at us and our football team.
