So I got my financial aid information today from Butler, and unfortunately for my family and me, the price is still really, really expensive. I knew I'd have to take out student loans, so how do I go about this? Should I call the school and set up a financial aid meeting or what? I just don't understand how to go about the process of getting student loans and setting up payments.
Ugh. I don't know either. It all stresses me out :). I've decided to talk to the financial aid department at Butler on registration day. We talked to them on the phone when we had questions about the FAFSA, and they seemed nice and willing to help. I would suggest setting up a meeting with them or stopping by during your registration day. Let me know how that turns out...it sounds like we are having the same types of problems!
Hokay I am really bad with everything financial and as bratty as this sounds I let my dad handle most of it just because he understood it WAY better than I did. You should get some info back with your FAFSA, but other than that I think you should just talk to the school. They should be able to walk you through the right steps to take and what the best plan would be for your financial situation. Also idk if you can do anything through your bank...? Sorry I'm not very much help. But it sounds like you're taking the right steps, everyone in financial aid is really patient and will be willing to help you figure it all out!
