hi. i was wondering what furniture is already included in the Schwitzer dorm rooms? is there two of everything? like are there two desks with chairs, etc? just so i know what furniture to bring.

are phones included in the schwitzer dorm rooms? also, mattresses and bed frames are included right? i mean, a bed is there right? all i have to do is bring blankets and the pillow right? because in the butler bound thing it said to bring "mattress pad, comforter, sheets, and pillows" i was just wondering because in the Residence hall letter i received, it gave me a phone number for my room.

hi- im an incoming freshman and i want to know what are the community bathrooms in the all-female (schitzer?) residence hall is like at Butler? Do the showers have a lock or a curtain or something where i can have some privacy while showering? where would i put my bathrobe?

When I was on a tour at Butler, our guide took us through Schwitzer Hall and told us that because of the stone, wireless internet was not available here. I am hoping to live in this hall, and I was wondering what students do when they are up studying late and need the internet. thank you.

Meal Plans

So, I have my Room and Board Contract sitting in front of me, and I was wondering if you could help me understand the difference between the meal plans offered. On the form, it only lists these choices...

-180 block meal plan per semester
-240 block meal plan per semester
-290 block meal plan per semester
-unlimited meal plan per semester

...it doesn't really go into detail about what each of these meal plans entail -- "amount of meals," costs, flex dollars, and so forth. Hopefully someone can clear this up for me. Once I get this figured out, I'll have all my room/board forms taken care of, for the most part. I can't wait for Butler next fall! =]

Do the apartment village fill up?

hey everyone. I am most likely transfering to butler next fall. I was just wondering if the apartment village usually fills up or not. All i'm waiting for is my letter of acceptance from the media arts program and then I plan on filling out a application for the apartments. Do you think I will be ok if I send in my application within the next couple weeks? Or do you think that they may be filled up by then??

juniors living off campus

hey everyone. my name is rob courtney and I am transfering to Butler next fall from BGSU. I am currently a sophmore at BGSU and when I come to butler i will be a junior. Now, I have been living in my own house now for the last two years. Butler has some god awful rule that even juniors have to live on campus in the appartment village. However, I WILL NOT do that. Being a tranfer, there is no chance in hell that I am going to live with 3 other strangers. That is just not me. And yes I know that I can meet people and what not but that is not my concern. I am not interested in living in the appartment village at all, so please dont try and convince me to. However, I am on this forum to ask if there were any "Loop Holes" to this whole ordeal. Is there any way I can trick the school into them thinking I was commuting? Also, I asked a couple people about this before and one of them said that if you are 21 before you come to butler, then they cannot make you live on campus. I will be 21 borfore i come to butler, so maybe that will work?????

anyways, so basically i think this rule is completly stupid....I am an adult and I dont want someone telling me where I have to live...not to mention, scamming me out of more money than I should have to spend to go to this freakishly expensive school. So please, If anyone knows any possible way of getting out of this nonsense please reply back.

hey everyone. This is rob courtney and I am transfering to butler next fall from Bowling Green State University. All I want to know is...Next year will be my third year of college...however, at the start of next year I will not quite be a junior yet because I am missing about 3 credits...Now, does that mean that I will have to wait to live in the appartment village? Or will Butler still allow me to because I will be in my third year?

My home is just north of Kessler and west of Meridian Sts. 1600SF w/attached 2 car garage. I'm looking for a roommate for the school year so through May, 09 only. Got bit by the IRS in a BIG way this year and it eases my financial situation until summer, 09.

What you need to know if considering:

Male, so another male is probably going to work better than a female. It is what it is.
Home is in good shape and clean. You'll be in a good space.
2nd bedroom is already furnished but I can empty in lieu of your own.
Everything else remains in home so no move in of other furniture. But you'll be free to take advantage of current furnishings throughout.
I own a cat and a parrot. the parrot can be "vocal" in the AM..., natural for her breed.
$ 500/month and 1/2 utilities. You'll likely be in the $675-$750 range each month

I don't mean the most popular house, but which one has the best facility as far as cleanliness, nice furnishings, etc. I want to go Greek, but I can't imagine living in a dirty house.
