Butler University

I'm applying to Butler for fall of 09.  Anyone else doing so want to make friends now?!

Hey, I'm also applying to Butler for fall 09! Sure, I'd like to make friends with others doing the same. Where are you from? I'm from Mansfield, Ohio (for those who don't know where that is, it's about an hour north of columbus and an hour south of cleveland so we're right in between those two cities)

 Well I wont be coming (hopefully) until Fall 10 because im only a jr, but definitely up for making friends haha.

Sarah, I'm from St. Louis, MO.  I have relatives in Ohio so I've been there quite a few times.  Honored to meet you.  I'm Alec, the only one in my picture.  My Butler friend count increases by 1!

 And I do play tennis, though more for fun, I probably won't play at Butler.  I doubt I can run with the Division 1 crowd.

It's nice to meet you Alec. So is Butler your only choice right now? or are you looking at other colleges? And what are u planning on majoring in?

I don't play any sports with my school but I enjoy playing badminton(i know some might not even consider it a sport lol but i love it) and i love watching basketball, especially the NBA. and i'm trying to learn about football lol

I'm looking at several other schools...Truman, Lake Forest.  And I love badminton...nothing wrong with that.

Butler's great and Indy reminds me so much of Columbus, only better. Also, I don't know if you're familiar with the short north area, down by OSUs campus, but theres an area here called broad ripple village thats very similar. They have some great places to eat, cute boutiques, and theres a really pretty canal close by!

Hey LizM! I'm actually not very familiar with much of Columbus so I'm not sure where Darby is. I'm about an hour away from Columbus, but I have heard of Hilliard. I go to Ontario High School, have you heard of it?

When I visited Butler, I really enjoyed how close it was to Indianapolis, it did kinda remind me of what I've seen of Columbus too. I've never been to the short north area near OSU campus, but I've heard of it and everyone always says how nice it is. What made you choose Butler? Because right now my choice is between Butler and Otterbein. I liked Butler a little more, but of course it will most likely come down to who offers me more scholarships (so my mother says) lol.
