• How to Double Your Group of Friends in One Day

Many things are keeping me busy this semester, but seventeen of them are especially close to my heart! Meet Gamma Sigma, the newest class of the Alpha Beta chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, my band fraternity. With the loss of our graduated seniors, our chapter felt especially small when we came back to school...

  • #1 in the Nation!

At Butler, our chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi national band fraternity has been successful as long as I've been around. In 2006, when I started school at BU, the chapter had just won the Governor's Cup award for being the best chapter in our district. I was initiated in December of 2006 and have...

  • We won by THIRTY! twice.

Hey everyone! It has been a basketball-filled weekend here at BU, and today was even better because I got to share the excitement with some of you - live! Today we had an event at Butler for admitted students and their families - a huge pizza party with Bazbeaux's (Indy's best, in my opinion...

I am in Basketball Band (pep band) here at Butler and I play the clarinet...
You said that you're in the band program at Butler.....and I was just wondering can you be in just a pepband and not in an acutal concert band setting?
Yes, you can definitely just be in pep band! That's what I do. We have a marching band for football...

  • Re: Singing in the Choir at Butler hopefully!

Oooops, my post got cut off before I could finish it! I think I am the kind of person you are talking about! I am an English and Spanish major, but I love music and wanted to stay involved in college, so I played clarinet in Symphonic Band my freshmen year and in Basketball Band every year. I am even...

  • We beat the USA!

Ok, not the whole country. But we DID beat the University of South Alabama in the first round of the NCAA here in Birmingham, Alabama! YES, they had the home court advantage but we still beat them by 20 points (Final Score: 81-61). The game was so much fun. If you haven't been keeping up with my...

  • Re: cheerleading ??

yeah there's definitely cheerleading at Butler! They are a huge part of football and basketball games here. It's a coed squad and I'm pretty sure they have tryouts in the spring. You should email Jamie jwestfal@butler.edu - she's the cheerleading coach and I bet she could let you know...
