Tonight I finally made it to Hinkle to watch our Butler ladies play some volleyball. I had never been to a volleyball game, so it was fun and interesting to go cheer on the Bulldogs to another win over Loyola. Freshman Gina Vera is a friend of mine and in one of my classes, so I had been wanting to go...

  • The past few weeks in pictures

This week was pretty amazing for having to go back to school right after break. I was dreading having to get back into a schedule coming back to Butler but a few fun events this week have brightened the dreaded week. Here are a few disney pictures! We took so many I had a hard time deciding which ones...

Good evening ya'll! I'm reporting tonight from Greensboro, North Carolina, site of the first round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. Whenever the team travels for the NCAA, they get to bring along 12 cheerleaders and 30 band members to support them, and I got to be part of the band...

  • Hiding out in an undisclosed location

So, I hate to admit it, but I have been extremely lame this spring break! With the exception of some fun NUVO internship activity and putting the final touches on my story which will run next week (YAY!), my spring break life quickly disintegrated into a lot of studying and hanging out with small children...

  • Basketball Game & Pizza party - Jan 24

Hey 2013! It was so good to see so many of you today on campus! How did you like the event? I had a great time and I really loved talking to some of you and your families. Was it anybody's first time on campus? Did any of you meet cool new friends that you could be classmates or even roommates with...

Megan, thanks, that was fantastic. I feel so much better now : ) Sarah, I think my dad is the same way. I mean, there are many other reasons that he wanted me to go to Butler, but his favorite perk is definitely that he can combine visiting me with coming to see games. He also calls me after every game...

  • Butler beats #12 Xavier!!

So did anyone else see that epic win tonight?! This is how much I love Butler Basketball: I got back to Chicago from my study abroad semester in Spain today, and before I even went back to my house, I went with my family straight to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game! (and although I live in the Chicago...

  • Re: Traditions!

Funny you should ask! This is a question I asked pretty much everyone I know at Butler last year when I was editor of the yearbook and we did a "Butler Traditions" page. Here's what we came up with: Fountain jumping - This is the number one Butler tradition, in my opinion! Groups of friends...
