  • Ballet, bagels, and other things that start with B

Studio Dress was yesterday--the Nutcracker has finally been assembled! Now come the daily run-throughs. Maybe I'll put a schedule up of what we did during Studio Dress, but now I want to talk about my friend's birthday and what's going to happen today. So my friend turned twenty! It was incredibly...

  • Finally 21: A Newbie's Experience

So I finally turned 21 this past week end and luckily for me my birthday feel on Sunday so on the stroke of 12 am Sunday morning I was out and about frolicking in the broad-ripple streets. Now my night didn't quite start off like this, it began with me dining with my host family just until about...

  • When Hunger Strikes: HCSA

The undeniable truth is that most kids in uni are members of the HCSA or Hungry College Students of America lol. When hunger strikes action must be taken, what will fill the hole in your stomach? Will it be (a) cafeteria food, (b) Star-bucks or (c) C-club? My answer is (d) none of the above . However...

  • Yet another blog about....Homecoming!

Ok so I have written a lot of blogs about homecoming lately, but I have good reasons, I swear! #1, I did a lot of blog-worthy things during the week/weekend...#2, it was EPIC. I think that's good enough, don't you? So on the morning of homecoming, I got up bright and early to drive some of the...

  • Senior Homecoming!

At 7 am on a Saturday morning, where can you find most 21 and 22 year old college students? In bed? Yes, usually. But not on Homecoming Saturday! I'm not sure exactly how or when this started, but at least as long as I've been at Butler, there has been a kind of ridiculous senior Homecoming tradition...

  • Class of 2013 ENewsletter

What's Happening in Indy? This week, explore the Komodo Dragons exhibit at the Indianapolis Zoo, watch “Field of Dreams” on the lawn at the Art Museum, see the new dinosaurs at The Children’s Museum or watch a baseball game at Victory Field with the Indianapolis Indians. Like concerts...

  • Re: Help Needed for a prospective student

I agree with Stephanie's suggestions... those are the best delivery options. However, the most popular restaurants that people go together late at night are probably Qdoba, Noodles & Co (both in Broad Ripple or downtown) and Steak and Shake (tons of Indy locations) so she could use those as well...

  • Re: Jobs during college

I have talked to people who worked in Broad Ripple without a car... they said it is about a 15 minute bike ride from campus, so that is always an option if you don't mind doing that in the cold weather. However, I would agree with Joe that the easiest thing to do as a student without a car is to...

  • Re: Jobs during college

It is very easy to get to BroadRipple! Not only is there a late night shuttle on most weekends, but because of Butler's unit style freshman dorms you meet a lot of people quick! I always had a carpool of friends ready to go to Broadripple and I do not have a car on Butler's campus. I have never...

  • Jobs during college

So I am looking at going to Butler and comparing it to another college and one thing I have for a positive aspect of Butler is Broadripple Village. I was wondering if a bus or some sort of transportation goes from campus to or through Broadripple. If I got a job in Broadripple while at Butler, but didn't...
