  • The HRC aquatic Center

Though it isn't the size of an Olympic swimming or as grand as a world renowned natatorium it's pretty sweet. I've been there a couple of times over the last four years even though I'm in the gym at least twice a week. All that has changed this semester with the weather taking turns for...

  • Goblins and Games... and rabbits

I've done a lot of things in the past two days, and many of those things were not related to the English papers that are due in under a week. Yay? Friday night: Student Choreography went pretty well. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to dance in it this year! (I refrained from participating last...

  • What I wish I knew then that I know now...

Let me start this off by saying that it finally feels like fall. It's lovely. As I look back on all the time I have already spent here, I thought of all the things that I have learned in the past few weeks... thing I wish I had known before I started school. I don't want to leave everyone in...

  • Sedentary Reflections

My roommate and I recently got into an argument about whether to walk or drive to a bonfire two blocks away. I was all for walking, Adam thought we should drive. I lost as soon as he replied "You've skipped out on every athletic event in the past week." Well...maybe. That doesn't mean...

  • Labor Day: the meaning of cornhole and other such items

[I had a spiffy video to go with this post, but as I'm experiencing technical difficulties, we'll just pretend that you watched it and you loved it. I'll add it in later if I figure it out.] Labor Day weekend. Appropriately enough, we rest on the day that celebrates labor. Actually, who am...

  • Re: Getting to the gym

As Ashlen said, you CAN drive... but think of the walk there as part of your workout! Nobody likes being out on the cold, but at Butler everything is pretty close. When I studied abroad in Spain during the fall, I was one of the students who lived closest to our university and it was still a 15-20 minute...

  • Getting to the gym

So I was looking at the campus map and it looks like most of the living halls are across campus from the HRC and if I go to Butler I would be wanting to work out at least 4-5 times a week. I was wondering if there is on-campus transportation to possibly get to and from my dorm and the HRC or if its possible...

  • Re: having cars?

Yeah, a lot of people that live close to Indy that have their cars can go home on weekends or visit their friends at other schools. Some that live in Carmel and other suburbs even go to their home churches on Sundays since they are so close. Having a car really isn't necessary, and personally I like...
