  • I Love Our Statehouse!

Today I went downtown to the Statehouse on a little field trip to learn more about careers in government....which was pretty interesting. It was sponsored by Internship & Career Services and the Exploratory Program, and basically what we did is we went to the statehouse, and got to talk to the Auditor...

  • I truly dislike making decisions.....

So right now I am making some pretty intense and big decisions for my future. Basically, in the next few weeks I will be planning out the rest of my time at Butler, and as you can tell from the title of my blog....I am really not a fan of making decisions. If I never had to make a decision ever again...

  • Back to Hoosier Girls State I go.....

So as I have mentioned in previous blogs....I am at Hoosier Girls State this week as a Government Counselor. :) Of course it has been the hottest week EVER, and our dorms at Indiana State do not have air conditioning...haha. It is so pleasant. But ever since the girls arrived on Sunday, we have been...

  • Make sure that your rainboots do NOT have a crack in them....

So it's Wednesday, which means that the week is halfway over... and we are that much closer to the end of school! I had an amazing weekend at home with my family, even though it was definitely not long enough! Although most of my time was spent sitting on our uber comfortable new couch using wireless...

  • US Presidential Debates in Spain

Missing out on election season in the US was one of the hardest parts about being away - but there were actually lots of election-related activities in Spain because they were very interested in the outcome. Democrats Abroad and Republicans Abroad hosted a viewing party to show the presidential debates...

  • Election night in Madrid!

Since the election returns came in during the middle of the night here in Spain, Democrats Abroad hosted a HUGE all night party in downtown Madrid. One of my friends and I went and spent the night cheering on Obama with our fellow Americans abroad. It was such an exciting and emotional night, especially...

  • Re: Political Activism?

I wouldn't say Butler is an overwhelmingly political campus, but political discussion does happen. I've argued about Barack vs. Hillary at a party on a Saturday night before... but that could be because I'm interested in politics, you know? I guess what I mean is that political activism is...
