Visit Campus

Don’t just browse Butler, experience it. Our beautiful campus. Our friendly students. Our wonderful facilities. Why? Because once you’re here, we bet you’ll feel right at home. We give you several ways to try us on. Choose whichever way is most comfortable for you. We have various visits and events for students who are exploring Butler but have not yet applied (Prospective Student Events) and Admitted Student Events for those families making their final decision.

Prospective Student Visits

Explore Butler

(Daily visits scheduled all year long)

Explore Butler offers small group information sessions followed by student-led tours. The visit lasts about 2 hours. Explore Butler is available weekdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. throughout the year. Selected Saturday morning visits are available in the fall and the spring. Because of the particular volume, we offer special options for students interested in Pre-Pharmacy. The Pharmacy presentation is at 11:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday. We recommend you register at least two weeks prior to your visit. All visiting high school students should schedule their visits individually.

Junior Preview Days

Junior Preview Days give you a first look at Butler. The program will include an interactive look at Butler, a special session for parents and a campus tour. Sorry sophomores, this is for juniors only!

Butler 101

Want a closer look at Butler University this summer? Then Butler 101 is it. During this casual visit you'll get a student-led campus tour and an Admission and Financial Aid presentation. Then join us for a 'backyard' cookout with Butler students and staff.

Discover Butler

Interested in Butler? Maybe you’ve heard about us, or known someone who is a bulldog, but you haven’t quite decided if you’re going to apply. Discover Butler is your chance to learn more about us! We will be in your area giving you and other interested students the chance to meet some alumni, current students and your admission counselor. We hope you can make it!

Butler Business Days

If you think you might be interested in studying business, then check out Butler Business Days. Hosted by Butler’s College of Business, you’ll discover the benefits of a Butler business degree by meeting faculty and current students. This all-morning visit also includes a campus tour and time with Admission Counselors. Space for this special event is limited.

Open House Visit

During this visit you're encouraged to come and go as you please. Sessions will be offered frequently throughout the day so you can design your own visit. Learn more about Butler's admission and financial aid and talk to professors about our majors. Student-led campus tours will also be available.

Admitted Student Visits

Individual Campus Visits

Individual Campus Visits will be available to admitted high school seniors. Students admitted for Fall 2010 may schedule an individual appointment with an admission counselor and tour campus. Students interested in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences may also attend the group presentation at 11:00 a.m. on weekdays (based on availability). We recommend you register a minimum of two weeks prior to your visit so we can customize the day to meet your requests!

Transfer Student Visits

Have you earned 12 or more credit hours since high school graduation and are you ready to transfer to Butler? Interested in a second bachelors degree? If so, you should come for a transfer student visit!

Come meet one-on-one with an admission counselor to discuss applying, transferring credits and get other Butler related questions answered. While you’re here, join us for a campus tour. Morning or afternoon appointments are available weekdays year-round. Please indicate a first and second choice date for your visit and our visit coordinators will confirm your visit via email.
